Whether it be in criminal cases or in matters pertaining to love, it's
Justice Gordon L. Stewart's job to pronounce sentences. It's not often,
however, that the judge presides at a wedding as he did shortly before
this picture was taken. Justice Stewart pronounced Jay E. Moses, 38, and
Marian Rea, 33, the couple at the right, man and wife in municipal court
yesterday after noon after Moses had expressed his wish to "get it over
with in a hurry". Moses is a fireman, first class, in the navy and his
seven-day leave is up tomorrow. So you see the reason for the rush. The
couple was engaged a year and will stay at 1135 March street until he
leaves for the east coast duty. Pictured above, left to right, are
Justice Stewart, Mrs. Charles L. Bennett and M.A.C. Fox, witnesses , and
Mr. and Mrs. Moses. Gazette Photo.

Thanks for the update on the Aregood line. Yes, I can give you a bit of
info on the baby Theodore, from an undated obit I found lurking in a box
somewhere, likely in Fran Welte's closet: [dd]

(sic), died yesterday at the family residence, 600 East 13th Street. The
funeral will take place this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the residence.
