NOW for the genealogy stuff. I received in the mail today a copy of the
death cert for Estelle Maude Nason Poston b. 11-9-1885 (on cert) in
Marshall Town, Iowa. Father's name Wm. Henry and Mother's name Lucinda
McCoy.
Estella died 5-6-1952 in Oakville, Grays Harbor Co., WA. The informant
was a Mrs. Winifred McCeod. ( This could be a daughter) Estella was
married at the time of her death and had lived at her address for 1
year. Address was Eagle and Newton Sts., Oakville, WA. There is a
little mystery about her
death. The death cert states she was dead on arrival.....no cause given.
There is additional information that an agent of the Public Health Sevice
requested a more definite cause of death and asked that the query be
answered by someone more familiar with the case. The answer given by the
Dr. who signed the death cert was " Regret inability to add to "dead on
arrival" as I have never had any professional contact with her. On the
side I know she has been much troubled about the sudden death of her son
by accident not to long ago. She was around the day before death." It
sounds like they did not do an autopsy and the Dr suspected suicide.
