Lester was a traveling medical salesman for supplies to doctors. In 1956 or 1957 Lois and Les and their 3.5 year old adopted son, Kenneth moved to Sacramento. In 1954 Ken was in kindergarten, date maybe wrong. Les also sold real estate. Les' brother wanted Les, Lois and Ken to move to Orange County. They moved, bought a home later in Santa Ana - Costa Mesa area. They joined the Lutheran Church.

During WW2, Lois and Lester worked in Oakland shipyard. Lois was a welder. After war was over Lois and Les moved to Sherwood Oregon to a farm west of Portland. They raised grain, calves, chickens, an apple orchard, etc. Cooked on a wood stove and electric range.
They moved to Berkeley Calif, bought a restaurant. Wilma worked in restaurant, this is how she met Jack Andrews and married. Lois and Ken and his 4 children still live with Lois in 1994.
